Rethinking Older Adult Volunteer Engagement in Student Supports
With support from the AARP Foundation, Idealist and the Partnership for Student Success operated Volunteering Redefined, a year-long learning community series for leaders who engage older adults in volunteer roles supporting student success. The initiative helped organizations rethink and strengthen their volunteer programs by exploring new approaches to recruitment, engagement, and impact.
This guide provides a high-level overview of the key strategies featured in the Volunteering Redefined webinar series and serves as a roadmap for navigating the resources that remain available on the Idealist website.
Whether you are building a volunteer program from the ground up or looking to transform existing practices, this series provides actionable strategies to strengthen engagement, improve satisfaction, and foster a sense of belonging for older adult volunteers.
